I edited it digitally to see if this is the direction I want to take, but I’m not entirely convinced it’s the best approach. If you have any ideas or suggestions for what I could do around the main subject (her) in the background -I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Honestly, before checking the title I thought it was already finished, it made me think it was a surreal and emotional piece, she looks like an ethereal being, almost like a ghost, contemplating simple living beings like plants.
Maybe, if you want to add her body, making it transparent to give that sensation of ethereal being or not the whole body, but glimpses of it. Maybe also add some colors that resemble the light that touches her left arm or light effects that go from the upper left.
So far that's all I can think of, right now I already like this piece as it is
