Comic page exercise

I haven't been mentally up to sit down and draw properly lately, but I did start this on a whim as an exercise and casually scribbled on it over the course of several days.
It's another random part from my unfinished script, an ending to a chapter specifically... but the middle dialouge is changed to make it make more sense out of context (that's why it's so annoyingly expositional, I'm not skilled enough to make it sound natural without the rest of the story lmao in any case, I promise it is not the final result).
And as for a brief summary; Mill take thing, Erjan complain, Mill get kidnapped, Erjan save Mill.
Story as old as time

I had fun with it, and it was interesting to attempt a slightly more serious comic page with these two. A challenge for me is keeping my OCs in-character for more emotional moments- especially when it comes to goofballs like Mill, and someone as emotionally constipated as Erjan x'D So yeaaahhhh, this is what it is for now(drawing emotional expressions is not my forte either aaaaaa so sorry if they look a bit weird, but I needed the practice)

The page itself looks fine I think, and I really like the first panel. I enjoy the simplicity of it
This is definitely in a WIP stage and the lines are rough, however (but I did clean up the sketch as nicely as I could bother currently) and there's a lot of gaps in the colouring. I'm sure I slipped up on some details as well lol

Also, I have yet to actually design any "mounts", so the animal they are riding is just a placeholder.

I did this very casually, but good-faith critiques are still welcome! Never know if there's any notes that might help my art down the line :'D
