can i say that i'm a cool artist now that some of my art has been scraped for ai 
(please know that this is a joke acjskc)
in light of this event, though, PLEASE consider protecting your art when uploading to any social media platform. if you're like me, who chooses not to glaze their art, here are some other ways you can keep your art safe:
•ALWAYS watermark your art, no matter what experience level you believe you are. if you are already watermarking your art, consider adding more or making it more obvious. i usually like to put a second watermark around appealing aspects of pieces, like on a character's face. throwing a layer mode on the watermark (like multiply, or burn) and lowering the opacity will make it look like it's blending into the art, (hopefully) making it difficult for an ai machine to properly decipher
•NEVER upload/post full resolutions of your artworks! an easy way to do this is by taking your canvas size and dividing it by 2 before sharing it on social media. for added protection, export the work as a jpg/jpeg instead of png. i personally don't like the crunchiness and color altering of jpg, hence why i don't use it, but i also understand the risk i take choosing not to
ai scalpers and ai art are, unfortunately, something we, as artists, are going to have to deal with now, but please don't be discouraged. we will ALWAYS be better than someone plugging a prompt into a machine. a machine is only limited to what it has been trained on - we are unlimited in the works we can create.
