and now the misunderstood assignment
which the only difference is the text, but still-
though this was a lot of fun, i did struggle a bit :'D i had to redraw Emi's head 3479654 times, and trying to simplify my new eye style to give it a more anime-like feel was NOT easy. but i am happy with the end result
i found a fake anime screenshot tutorial on instagram a few years ago, and while i used it as a reference the last time i made another one, this time i tried to follow it more closely. and who would have thought that following a tutorial step-by-step would actually give you better results- i also figured it would be best to not render hair as i usually do, otherwise the studio that would adapt my stories REALLY wouldn't beat the 'animators are overworked and underpaid' allegations
but enjoy my girls again!! this time with more lore that i'm not explaining hehe
once again wishing that i use a pen to line my art instead of a brush - the linework layer in sai is such a lifesaverMar 3, 2026
