Amaretto is part of gleepys universe, sorry for the lack of clothes that was not my focus
In gleepys world, all the intelligent beings are part of the suborder feliformia, with no unintelligent animals i guess you could say being within that suborder, so basically theres no wild cats and stuff. felines that look more cat-like are the "beauty standard", and you often see them in positions of power. one of the most commonly hated felines are the hyenas. most other felines consider them to be "tribal" or "old-world", and think they are naturally aggressive or dangerous (part of this coming from the fact hyenas are able to easily crack bones and are able to eat them, and its a big part of their culture). i try to find a balance between animal qualities and human qualities, but at the end of the day its fiction and some things aint supposed to be questioned too much. for example. within hyenas, since they are a female dominated animal, the girls are larger, usually louder, work more rough/manual labour jobs, and are generally the "dominate" ones in the relationship. not in a "men are lesser" kinda way, but in the "people associate families with the woman and wife, often lead the family, and also they lowkey are the dominate ones sexually" kinda way. i think hyenas are very touchy as well, i also think they hit a lot, its kinda a cultural thing for the women to just wack the men (since real hyenas are verryyyy aggressive with the boys). again, not in an abuse way, just like, a cat cuffing other cats kinda way. other animals think hyena boys are sissys </3
amaretto is a pachycrocuta, which in the real world is a very large extinct hyena, and in universe is the largest hyena, one of the largest felines, and also they are dying out. some of the more racist felines consider it to be a win that the big "aggressive" hyenas are dying, while all species of hyena think of it as a tragedy, well not really. Aardwolves are another species of hyena, but don't share many of the common traits. they cant break bones as easily, in fact, they don't really eat meat, they eat termites and stuff. theyre more chillax and smaller, and many other felines talk about aardwolves as "one of the good ones", and many aardwolves lean into this. its like Pakistan and India hating each other when its all the British's fault,,,, sorta. obviously not all aardwolves are like this, but its pretty common thought process (think of a "token black/gay/woman, ect. a person who sells out for recognition and acceptance by the majority group) many politicians use aardwolves as their diversity points basically, "look ! we don't hate hyenas, we have an aardwolf on our team ! yes they don't share much culture or life style with the other hyenas, the culture and life style that we hate and try to ban, but look !!!!! a hyena !!!!!!! we are so diverse, give us money :D !!"
