A crumbling alleyway. Enemy footsteps approach. They’re surrounded.Neo (reloading):—Why can’t you ever just shut up and stick to the plan?
Jack (spinning around with his gun):—Because your plans are boring, and I don’t do background roles.
Neo:—You’re infuriating!
Jack (grinning, one eyebrow raised):—And you’re stunning when you're mad~ Now quit scowling and cover the left. I’ve got the right—like always.
Neo (huffs, takes aim):
—On the count of three… One…
Jack:—Why do you always get to count? Bit of a control freak, aren’t we?
Neo (glaring at him):—JACK!
Jack (laughs, fires):—Three!
[Gunfire. Echoes. Perfect sync. They move back to back. Silent. Heavy breathing.]
Neo (quietly, without looking at him):
—Just… come back in one piece, okay?
Jack (smirking, cocky):
