It's still technically Easter, right?HAPPY EASTER FINALLY!! I literally JUST finished it, so if I notice any mistakes tomorrow I'm gonna be mad. We've had a lot of stress this weekend with the whole AI scraping situation. Many people probably feel discouraged from making art, wondering if there's even a point in sharing it with anyone if people stomp all over creatives left and right. I'm here to give you some respite, a moment of peace from all the hate and ungratefulness. We as a community have to stick together and support each other in these times. Keep creating, keep being inspired, and keep inspiring others. Creativity creates creativity. Our art is a form of protest; we can show people that art is best when it's created by real emotions with real emotions. Like this piece: I wanted to evoke a feeling of warmth and calm. Cutieflies playfully buzzing around a blooming flower field to announce the beginning of spring. I hope you can take a moment to breathe and appreciate nature around you, despite everything else.
While writing this caption I was listening to this beautiful jazz cover of the Floaroma Town theme from Pokémon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, my first Pokémon game ever. Give it a listen! https://youtu.be/xW4nufr8quEApr 21, 2025
I have been giving second thought into continuous posting whilst this crisis continues. But I think seeing people press forward and people like you giving us motivation may just be the key to keep posting regardless!
As I’ve been doing, I feel as though more of us need to add more watermarks across our artworks. Or, if creative, another way of protecting our artworks from frequent theft! I think we can all push past this and bring down these so-called “artists” if we keep taking a stand!
I sometimes lose motivation to draw anything cause of AI, but reading this and seeing your lovely art makes me feel better! Happy Easter!(^^) Sorry if my English is kinda bad ( ;∀;)
