Casual clowning
Whenever I’m artblocked I like to draw one of my OCs in a cute little outfit.Lux is in a unique position regarding his main outfit, because unlike the other Vices, his is very specifically a uniform that he wears when at his job (the circus ig). I needed to develop his own personal style outside of this, so I decided that he dresses like one of those Pinterest soft boys crossed with clowncore (and ig lovecore with the heart motif). It’s a more masculine style, which I want to experiment with in his outfits.
I realized this he looks kind of flat with his hair and his skin being the same color, so I chose the lighter blue from his color palette and made it his hair color. It’s not perfect (the values are still pretty similar), but I definitely think it looks better. I think he’s cute!
I have such a weird hangup about changing minor details about my OCs but it’s like, who care. This is all in the pursuit of the best possible version of the design. It’s already there, trapped inside a block of marble, and it’s my job to chisel away and set it free.
