Cozy reading time

Artfolmas prompt 2

This was a very low-effort drawing, just me drawing everything from my imagination and making up stuff as i went so no references at all for this and the perspective might look a bit off.
I tried to think about line-weight and stuff to seperate things in the foreground from the background but I might just gotten carried away, completely forgot about light source and everything but I didn’t want to spend too much time on this either so didn’t do shading.
I just wanted to have fun with my brush pens :)

It’s been a while since I’ve done a complete drawing without any refs whatsoever (usually use some for the poses but depends, and especially for drawing animals) but it’s relaxing to draw without, unless I have a bad art day/art block bc then I absolutely need references; and I have been in slumps for the majority of this year i feel like,, so had to use refs for poses a lot or to properly draw how i imagined something, but now i was able to just draw more freely


The books started as regular ones and then I tried to make them into comics instead; Norway has a tradition of reading comic books during christmas, there are some specific series that always has a new "christmas book/magazine" every year but it’s rather more about the publishing i guess than the contents of it, I don’t know how to properly translate or explain but they’re called Julehefter and are basically christmas comic books, and a bit different from your general comics?
