she went from following the rules to setting her own rules 
i had this old sketch of Emi i made in 2022? it was littered with anatomy issues, and after asking a fren for a critique and being too lazy to fix it, the drawing remained in the waiting room, eternally destined to be a wip. but then i saw this challenge! and figured i could cover up most of the anatomy heh heh. so here we are!
but yeah, i've had the Kuro for a LONG time! they were initially these pokémon-like creatures, but then i decided to draw human forms of them for funies, hence their more anime look now. i later joined dA, discovered closed species, decided to turn the Kuro into one, and to my surprise, they sold really well :") but then dA started going downhill, closed species had an uptick of outrage against them, and i quickly realized how much work handling a species was, so i quietly kept them to myself. still wanting to do something with the Kuro, i thought it would be cool to make a story out of them, and as every story needs a villain, bat mom was reborn
Emi has some more in between looks, but her 2017-2022 look mostly resembles her current design, so i decided her og appearance would work best. her older self looks more like she's the Kuro of Wind than she does now ajdxjsk
i have absolutely no clue what is on og Emi's face. please do not ask, i just tried my best at redrawing whatever it is
