Ornithophobia, the fear of birdsGreat snakes!
Originally, I didn't want William's power to be too op (like BOOM, WINGS, and I just fly off into the sunset!), so I gave him the fear of birds to make it a little more balanced.
But then, I realised this fear actually made sense since they are natural predators to snakes!
When William first awakened his power with Quiro (His hog nosed snake), he permanently kept some of her abilities.
His previously black hair and blue eyes both turned brown, he's extremely flexible, has bad eye sight, basically, permanently imitating a snake's characteristics. And this of course, also includes its natural instincts, such as the fear of predators!
This was my first serious try at doing a background. While not very happy with it, I learned plenty from it, and look forward to bettering my backgrounds!Jan 8, 2023

And the way the background desaturates as it gets farther away works so nicely, the entire piece gives me ‘messed up fairytale storybook’ energy
