You Are Mistaken... (Pt. 2/4)( Turn up 💡brightness💡 to see image’s details)

“I believe you are mistaken, my boy...”
Finally speaks the old man, his tired, grey eyes meeting with the young one across from him.
“She is the forgotten truth of stories untold....” He adds as reaches into his pocket, taking out a metal flask to which he starts to unscrew it. The young man across from him looks at him with doubt.

“Forgotten truth?...” The boy tries to hold back this smile that almost crept up on him...
He knew it would bring him trouble, given the elderly man had a face that read he was most certainly not joking.

“I... Don’t understand, sir.” He then responds properly in a composed voice; watching the man fumble with the metal container.

The elder uncaps his flask, taking a swig of whatever concoction he must have in there, before putting it away again... He shook his head slowly like a disappointed father.
“Of course you don’t... You have never seen her... Never felt her presence.... Never looked into the living eyes of a dead person.....” He falls silent again, as if lost in thoughts of the past...

“Well, no...” The boy trailed off, beginning to question and regret his choices of bringing up the conversation....
The old man’s voice was now beginning to harden with frustration when their gaze meets. The boy quickly speaks up again.

“She’s just a lady who passed away in a cabin, years ago... Ya know, with her family?... I only thought it was cool given that you can still find the place out in the woods—“

Suddenly, a harsh /SLAM/ makes the table shake and the plates and cutlery clatter. The man’s fist had slammed against the surface of which they eat. The boy instantly flinches, eyes widening as he stiffens in his seat.

“NEVER do you go out and look for that cabin, you hear me!?!!” The elderly man glares at him with strict eyes. “I don’t know where you learned all of this, boy... But let me tell you now...” He leans further over the table, to which the boy shrinks up a bit with intimidation.
“Search any further with this mindset of yours, and you wont return in one piece. And if you do come back... You will never be the same person... You will never not see her face around every corner, every nook and cranny, of your daily life. She will ruin the very core of your soul.”

The young one stares into the man’s now-psychopathic looking eyes, fear starting to creep up on him by his outburst... He watched him, who was shaking with this uncontrollable rage that had suddenly built up to a breaking point.

He was lost for words... And he watched as the man’s gaze became glazed over... As if staring right through the boy...
A chill ran down his spine...

Either way, I can't wait for part 3! The art is also gorgeous! I love the little details on the trees and the way you've done the moon!
