I'd say a professional's work would definitely be more open to variety if you're looking at their full portfolio over a hobbyists's and usually more skilled given it most likely pays their bills

•moneyy babyyy, i consider a professional artist someone who has art has their job/full time job, ppl still can get money from their hobbies just like ppl who have art as their hobby can make commisions but i feel like being a professional is something more serious, a more "permanent" job

•Professionals get money from making art,hobbyists don’t. It has nothing to do with skill.

•To me you are a professional when you do art as a job, hobbyist when … it’s a hobby lol There doesn’t necessarily have to be a skill gap

•I think someone is usually considered a professional when they have been recognized and paid by larger or well-known companies or entities for their work
