Ponder out the WindowTook me about three hours to really nail this one down but I'm a bit proud of it! Inspired by a scene from Princess Tutu, here's my effort to practice scenes and perspective. Emily is a fun character to pose, but I have trouble because her wings and tail tend to keep her pose from looking simple. That said this does feel like a successful scene, and I'll finish it digitally eventually, I'm sure.
I like:
→Overall mood
→Composition is nice
→Scene feels a little more lived in by adding objects to the scene
→The pose is nice and came out well
→I think it feels grounded compared to my usual work
I dislike:
→The table still feels weird to me
→I wanted to put more plants by the window but couldn't do it without crowding the scene
→The flooring has a curve to the left and it's bugging me
→I totally forgot to define Emily's left shoulder
→The teddy bear by her tail feels out of place to me...
As always I am probably the biggest critic of my own work. This piece specifically makes me want to get into some really detailed texture painting, especially for the woodeb beams that wrap around the angled cieling. Emily feels a little younger here which is interesting. I can't decide if I wanted to add more cabinets or sliding doors to the second level of the thing she's sitting on. I want to color it as having a sunset outside and a bit dark inside.

I think this turned out awesome, the perspective looks so good!! The table could have used a little more detail maybe? They usually have extra ridges and woodworking on the legs or edge of the table. But definitely be proud of this
