A Spark of HopeDolores Romero and Gloria Stein are among my favorite characters. Their story is quite heartbreaking, but they do get their happy ending.
They come from the opposite sides of a war that's raging across all continents in an era dominated by misery and superstition, a war fought not only with guns and tanks but also bioweapons, sophisticated humanoid machines, and flying ship. And it's on a ramshackle cosmoship, the Caduceus, that they finally find friends, purpose, and peace of mind, among a motley crew of rogues, vampires, doctors and alchemists. Their captain is the one who declares them wives and blesses their union. In a world where nature is either destroyed, abandoned or weaponized, little wonders like feathers and flowers are usually worn by newlyweds to celebrate hope.
I'm thinking about introducing them as npc's in my D&D campaign, since there will be a steampunk story arc in the future~Feb 18, 2022
