Meet Vesper, he's a star elf (3.5e race) bard, and seems mostly unaware of the dangers of the world.
He spends most of his time writing music using schemes and symbols that are foreign to everyone around him, and wears a while feluca on his head that make him easy to spot in the crowd, despite his height below average. Sometimes you will also spot a spectral instrument hovering around him, like the ghost of a flute or a lyre. It's hard to notice unless you get closer, but the glass jewel on his chest has a tiny cityscape inside, with golden dust moving around it. If you stay by his side for long enough to see him without his white gloves, you'll see that his fingertips are oddly stained, as if he dipped them in liquid night sky.
