Anatomy or wanting to draw but I don't have any inspiration
Most of the people I know would be like "that's not an issue just draw this -" or "your art looks fine I don't see anything wrong" and also the pain of drawing lineart on the sketch layer and having to start over lineart

People believe that being creative is easy and that all you need is to be "talented" - no, I wasn't able to draw like this as a toddler, and it didn't appear magically for no reason: we worked hard for our skills, style, and knowledge!
Why is it so difficult for them to recognize the effort that has gone into it? Also, the assumption that it is acceptable to request free art because "it must be fun to be an artist," so why not?
You wouldn't ask a stranger who enjoys cooking to prepare a whole free meal for you, would you? And without creative stuff our lives would be so boring but the validation for it still is is little..

Art can be challenging, I think ppl forget drawing is an actual skill that takes time

•It's actually hard to be creative. That there are rules to art. That unlike other tasks it can take decades to develop skills. It takes a long time. Artists aren't doing a trick for your entertainment when you ask for free stuff.

Art can be fun but that doesn't mean it's not hard. When relatives hear that I do art, the #1 response is "Wow that must be fun that you get to do what you want all day. Good for you." It's not a bad response, but they actually mean, "Good for you that you don't have to actually work hard like us." ... It's especially hard for me to hear because while I know talented people must work hard to improve their talent, I was never naturally talented at art and always had to really work to not be the worst. (Now I realize that mindset was toxic, but that's how it was when I was in school.)

•When non-artists who clearly know nothing about art try to have a deep conversation with me about art it just makes me cringe a lil inside

Collaboration is something that needs to be thought about carefully especially for long term projects. There's going to be a lot of conflict if you decide to just partner up with just anyone without understanding your chemistry together as creators especially if you're asking the artist to do a long term project with you for free. And it's annoying when they ask for a collab but they don't even know what your art looks like either. Take me to dinner first, man.

•That when I'm critical of my art it doesn't mean that I hate it or that I'm focusing on the negative too much? It just means I'm recognizing flaws and things that I can improve on

When i create a illustration without put more details and someone says "That's beautiful".
It's good to hear it, but for me the illustration needs to have more and more details. Them i start thinking if the illustration itself looks good without more lines and i can't decide which one should I stay.

•That even though my art may be pretty sometimes, not everything I make is beautiful and gorgeous, and that’s just normal. But non artists think everything you make must be pristine ://

For me, it’s the embarrassment that comes from people seeing my art. I always jump and get scared when someone walks in my room while drawing. Haha

handsIt's not always fun. It takes lots of time and effort. Not everything I make will come out good. I see the flaws and am critical of my work, even though to them they may think something is perfectly fine.

Hands- also just like- the balance between values in order to make an image look “sharp” or balanced lol. And omgggggg eyelashes, they’re so much more difficult than they look haha

•The thing that is to feel inspired to draw on a cheap or random piece of paper, when you have a whole sketchbook to use :’)
