OC-tober day 27: redesignFelrik and siblings, this isn’t as much of a a redesign as it is a redraw; I never liked the old one mostly bc the baby is a freak of nature with a grown person’s face 
and all the anatomy looks so weird, but guess it paid off with the years i actually started practicing drawing kids and also anatomy (this was in the middle of bigger style changes sometime in 2015-2016 so anatomy looked so off trying to draw proper proportions rather than stylized but i have no idea why the hands look like.. that) but it still looks a bit weitd here i couldn’t draw yesterday.
Anway, Felrik has fire powers and also he’s adopted
I dont really like the composition here but think at least the interaction and poses came out better than the old one.
Not sure what happened but yeah struggled so much to draw just anything but especially the faces but had to move on at some point but then a lot of lines got ruined in lineart too, oh well.
I did try to change some things bc of the prompt so the other siblings have curlier hair now, I couldn’t change hair colour and stuff due to plot like i need his hair and eyes to be what they are and the others to look obviously different
But changed the clothes a bit but again still need to fit the already established setting so this isn’t too much of a redesign, also i really wanted to keep the ribbon on the middle sister’s dress

he’s only in the future concepts or paragraphs ive written not the actual chapters yet; I have written both chronological stuff (up to 15 chapters) and a bunch off random scenes after a time skip that will happen at some point, and that’s where he’s introduced and shows up more, so he will be important later is what I’m getting at – I have his backstory and everything planned but he hasn’t showed up as much in what I’ve actually written so far so it’s like I know his character well but also not really. This is an older story btw the first concepts were probably written around 2016
This is the only art i ever made of him too, but basically he’s one of the closer friends of Eld but like in the future
