KaiThis is the only thing I’ve drawn this month
Struggled a lot with the sketch that I started early June but it’s also been a while since I drew Kai so might be partly why; it was hard to make him look like himself kinda, but I just didn’t have a good art day when I started this so I spent a lot of time erasing and redrawing things, had to just stop and try again a week later. Was mostly the expressions I struggeld with and I still think they didn’t end up how I wanted – especially the compliment one, I found it really hard to convey the tsundere part? You tell me, does he give of a tsundere vibe or nah
I also let this sit for over a week AGAIN until I did lineart (yesterday) and got into a bit of a crisis when starting? but just tried to not care and just went through with it.. but some of his features ended up wonky (like when I flipped it, suddenly his eyes were much more asymmetrical compared to the sketch..) And then I just gave up during colouring, putting little to no effort in bc I just wanted it to already be finished but i think it looks alright,, I don’t absolutely hate this at least but really struggled with it sooo yeah
just wanted to add that I’m the same as Kai when it comes to seeing ppl in public lol, I just pretend not to see them so I don’t have to interact
(unless it’s like my best friends or close family) and I’m bad at recieving compliments too…

sometimes art is hard and life/health doesn’t cooperate and makes it even harder; I feel like I’ve been avoiding socialising a lot lately except for some more spesific events and also not been that active on here or other social media in a while; sometimes I really wanna comment on ppls art but can’t seem to find any words so might just reshare instead but I haven’t even reshared that much either
Anyway, this challenge was actually fun! But as I’ve mentioned before I’ve just been in a bit of a slump lately, so I hope I can go back to making more art now!! I added several challenges to my collection yesterday and look forward to try them ^^

I like your long captions! it's interesting to know the process and efforts that went into a piece being made. I really like the being complimented one actually and think it does portray a tsundere reaction well! Also love the last one, hearing someone talk over a movie
