Sketch I’ll never finish?From August last year, nearly forgot about it until i looked through my sketchbook. Randomly started redrawing an old doodle, of a scene from an old story – characters are Leolyn and Naya
it’s not like I’ve totally abandoned the story? Idk… I do think about the characters and stuff but haven’t written on it since 2014?? 2017? Donmt remember when i last worked on it but think i wrote most in 2014, and wrote most of it traditionally in notebooks so i don’t even have all the story in digital form yet, stopped rewriting it into word at some point. And I think I started it in 2011 or that’s at least when my oldest Word document on it was last edited, well the first one bc thsi is from the sequel but I never even finished the first book; just got brainrot on Leolyn who’s a literal baby and side character but still important in the first, and started writing his story instead that happens years later thanthe first one’s events
Anyway. I’m just focusing on other stuff now, but actually I have posted Leolyn here before for OC-tober. And just started drawing this last year when i found an old doodle of the same scene. But I’m not sure if i’ll continue it at all; if i do it won’t be for a long while until i finsih other projects XD you have no idea how many stories i’ve started….
The lore of this moment is basically that him and Naya, the girl in the background, were captured and tortured by the enemy in the neighbour country – there’s a bunch of backstory and family drama and an ongoing war and stuff – there’s a spell on him so it makes him look different and his whole life he thought he looked like the way he appears on the right, while "The mirror of truth" shows what his true self looks like, but actually it also varies from person to person what he looks like to them; I could tell more about this ‘curse’ on him and more context for this scene but not gonna share everything, even if i dont work on it anymore but might reuse ideas if i dont get back to this story so don’t wanna spoil it if i do

So the reason they were captured was mostly bc the wings of those with royal blood are special and the evil queen of the neighbour country wants them, and they got too close to the border and ended up captured. They’re fairies btw, or Leolyn is only half
