Hello everyone!
I realized it has been more than 2 weeks since I've last posted an artwork or an update in general. August has been a very busy month. I have been applying to many jobs and events to sell. So far, I've only managed to be accepted to one that will be hosted on March 2026. Which is exciting all the same, but it's a long way from here.
I've been hoping I could sell at an earlier date. I am still searching, though, looking to expand my brand a little more. But affording space at an event—especially at pop-ups— is expensive and I am a very small business with little funds to invest on myself.
Job-wise I haven't had any luck at all. I could have advertised my commissions and shop all this time, but I hate to be obnoxious and sound like a shill. Which is counterproductive because I need to advertise myself in order to get clients and earn an income. But, it's a complicated feeling. I suppose it's self-consciousness? I need to overcome it for sure.
Third, I have been dealing with a lot of mental health struggles. I was recently given an evaluation, yet I am not comfortable sharing what it is right now. Just that I haven't been drawing much as a result.
But on the bright side, I have finished one of the major projects!! Now it's a matter of compiling and making it all into a video to show you the progress. I've also been recently approached by a collective of Puerto Rican women painters! I was invited to solicit, so I did it! Now I am waiting for their evaluation and final decision. If I get accepted, that means I will be exhibiting my works with them! Furthermore, I have been writing a little and coloring WIPs. I may have something to post, but I don't know if it will be some time this week. We'll see.
Anyway, that is all that has been going on. I am still alive. Just swamped. Take good care of yourselves, everyone!
