One of the many funny things my niece (1¾yo) does is refer to herself as "you". It makes sense in her mind, because whenever she sees herself in reflections or pictures people go "that's you!" So naturally she thinks the word "you" refers to herself, pointing at herself when saying it and everything. And it's cute but also always makes me think how tf do you explain personal pronouns to a child

"Children are confused by pronouns!!" Yes and it ONLY applies to my niece and it's not about they/them it's literally just her confusing "you" and "I"
