Yes totally!! I usually just go to Salvation Army because it has the largest collection of any thrift stores near me.

•Secondhand yes, vintage no, I mostly go to thrift stores. I hate buying clothes new because they’re so expensive.

I get most of my clothes from charity shops - I live not too far from a town where lots of wealthy city people like to have second homes or retire, so I can sometimes find quite nice stuff (I've gotten a couple of designer tops for £3 or £4). I also often find it easier to get stuff I like in charity shops, because I have quite an alternative style and there's often a more interesting range.
And, of course, it's cheaper. I like to browse on eBay too, I've gotten two corsets on eBay for so much less than they would cost new. I have depop, though I haven't bought anything on there yet (I have been eyeing up some of the shoes, they seem pretty good...)

•I like vintage styled clothing, but not second-hand
Because Bedbugs, and similar cleanliness reasons. Maybe if I lived in a nicer area with more trustworthy establishments...
I've also been poor so long (use to be severely so) that I just really love being able to have a new piece of clothing just for me. A brand new shirt/pants/shoes is just deeply satisfying/gratifying

And I guess my clothing is somewhat vintage-y? Layers, knitted textures and sweaters when possible.
I always got hand me downs from friends/acquaintances of our family from time to time and even if they have a completely different style there is almost always something that I can make use of. Also did a clothing trade with a friend where we brought our clothes we don’t have use for anymore/are too small and picked what we liked from each other’s piles ^u^
I’m also lending stuff from my moms closet since she has a ton of knitted jackets and sweaters in a variety of the same brown-creme hues >w<
I also got a few of my dads old shirts wich are great under a thin sweater or as a light jacket against sunburn in summer.
All in all … that and clothes I bought from normal clothing stores. Though I haven’t really bought all that much in recent years. Two t-shirts about half a year ago and some socks… and some new jeans a year ago cause my old ones started to fall apart >w<"
But I might start getting into sowing myself some skirts since I got more comfortable wearing them (victory for short leggings underneath
