The pain of meeting people who seem really cool in university but only seeing them for one semester and never again after your class is over because you don't have anything to talk about but you wish you did because they seem so nice and maybe you do have something in common but you'll never know because you barely talk to them anyway and don't know how to tell them you'd like to get to know them better and maybe become friends without being awkward!!!!Jul 6, 2022

The best way is to be honest and say 'I think ur cool' or 'I like ur style' and ask for their instagram. That way they don't have to give you their number but you can still text! Sometimes when they post something in their story you can reply to it :) this is just hypothetical tho, I haven't met anyone new in a while

•First there was this one person whom I looked at and immediately went "yep, that person's not cishet" and I literally only talked to them once because we don't have any classes together, and the one conversation we had was "did you just say to this other person you had a history seminar? Was it __?" "Yeah!! I thought I saw you there but then I never did again" "I went only one time because it was so boring!" "It really is!!"
And then there's the girl from my philosophy class who was super cool and we always texted during online classes and I started playing Genshin because of her and she watched Sk8 the Infinity in return, and one time I told her to stop writing funny things during class because they make me smile and I had my camera on and she said "u look cute when you do that" and I couldn't stop smiling for like the next 10 minutes!!! We never even met irl because most of the class was online and when we did have it in presence she wasn't there and I even told her about my art account which I usually only tell my closest friends about, but now we don't even chat anymore
And now there's this girl in my English class who is so cute, she's quiet but so nice and pretty. The last time we had class it was our turn with the individual presentations and we both came to class early and talked about what our presentations are about and tried to make each other less nervous, ans hers was about tomatoes because she grows them in her apartment and even though I hate tomatoes that was so cool!! And now she just texted me because she couldn't open a document and I sent it to her and you know how sometimes you only like someone's texting personality but not the irl one or vice versa, but she seems so nice over text too and just!!! I keep saying I want to meet more people and make friends and then I do meet cool people and don't know what to do!!!!
