CrittersI spent some time in the garden today, drawing animals I found on pinterest :)
It all started because I bought a bestiary for a ttrpg I'm playing (and planning a campaign for), and there are these creatures called Biestinger (Beastingers?), they're fae in animal form, and they can take the form of any tiny critter from rodents, to birds, to lizards or fish! So I looked for inspiration for possible Biestinger characters!
I'm especially proud of the hawks (I think they're hawks) on the left page :] the orange one looks so good! I'm very happy with it.
Using my sketchbook is nice, and it's fun when things don't have to be perfect. The capybara on the left looks a little sinister. I had to redraw the wings of that flying bird. And I really just improvised with the scales of that snake. The beauties of imperfection.
The otter with the leaf umbrella is copied from the DSA Bestiarium, I tried finding the artist and I think it's drachenmagier on instagram, deviantart, twitter, etc? At least there was a pin leading to their profileJul 13, 2024
