Happy Birthday Doc!Yep Im attempting to continue the birthday paintings for the We Once Had Names crew tho I might have a handful of new faces this year. And since January is the Anything Store’s anniversary, February means Doc’s birthday.
Everyone should have an OC who shares a birthday with them. Because then you can make pretty pictures for yourself as a gift for being a wonderful OC Mama/Papa/Sarcastic Auntie XD
Doc gets my birthday and he also gets sweets because I traumatized him and he’s worth it. So he gets a big order of bingsu (shaved ice) with syrup, condensed milk and strawberries and mango. This year’s birthday themes are POV youre on a a date with a merc.
Im using a new sketchbook I got from @durianne.art and it plays pretty nice with my watercolors, so instead of separate pages, I can keep them all together in a book ^^. I do still do the pencil sketch on a separate piece and ink using my light table so I have a clean start for ink. The granulation the pigment has looks really pretty.
Doc lore to round out the yap session: i think his first birthday out (celebrated a month late with Sniper’s bday), he gets to try what an ice cream cake is like. Oreo cookie ice cream cake because he’a an oreo fiend. One of my goals is to try my hand at writing about the pleasure of eating food and Doc is a perfect person to do it through. He deserves treats every now and again XD.
