DTIYS Entry VI – "Vesna And The Sun" 
Uwaaah, at last! I finally made it! The last entry that I have for my DTIYS participation this month! Here's my sixth submission; this time, for @lucieell's depiction of the slavic goddess (or personification) of spring, Vesna (also known as Lada)! 
For this artwork, I tweaked my artstyle a little bit and experimented on a few things, such as brush usage for color shading, as well as lineart style. The change is quite visible on the hair, which I made a bit smoother than I usually do. I also added a few features on her original appearance, like the blue ribbons, choker, and patterns. For the flowers, I drew some of the ones I adore that are in colors matching some of the original, namely my most favorites ones like Lilies and Plumerias, as well as others like Baby Blue Eyes, Peonies, Poppies, Marigolds, and Daffodils. Besides that, I also applied lighting techniques to highlight her presence with the sun (although it didn't sink in to me yet whether it's too bright or not, so yeah...!)
LORE: Due to my curiousity, I researched a bit about Vesna and there came out something about the Sun Prince. Apparently, she was always guarded by a sun warrior named Yarilo (which I depicted here as the presence of the sun), as well as carried around by the god of wind, Stribog (which I depicted here as the presence of the breeze that carries her hair, as well as the petals and leaves). In the mythology, it was also said that only certain people may hear her sing.

PPS. Hashtag was actually just made by me since there's no official one. Just put it there in order to match it with the rest of my entry's format.

sadly not much of the original mythology was preserved, so sometimes we have to make up stuff about it, but that’s part of the fun haha!
