So about Inktober...
I was very excited for it this year and decided to actually participate for once. Took it really seriously adn threw everything aside to meet the 1 art/day quota. Surprisingly I kept it up for some time. Alas, reason caught up with me - I simply didn't have time or energy for that, I was already overwhelmed enough even without the drawing.
I was, however, loving the whole thing. I made some stuff I'm really proud of, honed my skills and even realised I have a different artstyle now. It was just too great to drop it and let responsibilities get the better of my passion. Instead of dropping the challenge then, I decided to do it my way - 30 or so artworks, 1 day for each. If I make any changes or take any longer, that doesn't count for the challenge, it's a separate artwork. The challenge counts only what I do in that one sitting from the moment I open the art program until I close it.
That's the way I've been going for the last few months since October, but because I really didn't have what it takes for that, I'm still far from done with the challenge. Thankfully I've been blessed with a real, unofficial holiday period meaning I can get back to it with more force than ever. So, if you see any artworks I post that have a number on them, next to the watermark they're part of this - my personal Inktober.Dec 25, 2023
