@primouryuika's post on Artfol

Greetings to everyone! The previous discussion has been so much fun, so I'd like to start another one. For today, let's focus on anatomy (ah, everyone's love–hate buddy). So yeah, here's my questions for you all:

"What part of anatomy makes drawing difficult for you to do? Do you experience the same difference in difficulty when it comes to drawing males and females? And, what kind of poses or positions would you like to be efficient in?"

For the last question, it could be specific kinds of perspectives that you would like to try out, perhaps a category or set of themes that you've always had the thought of drawing in the future (e.g. action–based, elegance, etc.) Again, this is an open discussion so you may interpret some questions based on your understanding. Feel free to comment down your thoughts, for I'd love to hear your viewpoints and learn more about each of you! 🤗🦋

The thing that’s hardest about anatomy are muscles, but thankfully I don’t draw them much. Another thing that’s hard is hands obviously, especially traditionally since the page smudges when I erase too much. I usually draw females so it’s not too hard for me, but sometimes waist to hip ratios and boob size can be tricky. Guys aren’t that hard but sometimes it’s hard to draw them without them looking like boxes.
I’d like to practice different kinds of perspective as I think that makes a drawing interesting. I’d also like to practice action poses. I’m currently studying facial expressions!
Faces, surprisingly. I struggle so much with making my faces the right shape
Feets and torso are my nightmare actually xD
especially when it comes to drawing male and females cuz both has different muscle amd stuff xC, i keep using references this and that tho, hoping i'll improve---
feet 🥲 at least i can make my characters wear shoes lol
i still struggle with anatomy in general. i’ve seen improvements throughout the year, but still have some stuff to work on. so i guess my skills in drawing males and females are equally subpar.
i wanna work on action poses and dynamic poses. foreshortening perspectives, too.
urgh omg i can never draw males 😓 (they always turn out looking like females but with really short hair HAHA) but i’m determined to learn and get better!

i’d like to try out more dynamic poses i guess? possibly fight poses and maybe more elegant poses (like, dancers?? idk if i’m making any sense lol) instead of just poses of them standing heh :3
Im not that good at anatomy but i find it very fun ^^
I find it quite hard to remember which muscles are which when using a reference. i vaugely recal what proportions apply to which body parts, but some still come out too long or too short 😅

It'll mostly likely get better the more i practice it though ^^
Feet are my worst enemy ;-; frankly I’ve neglected that area and suck at drawing shoes too BHAHAHAH I don’t struggle when it comes to gender but definitely need to expand on the body types I draw 🙃 I hope I can improve my foreshortening cause I always love drawing those! 🤍
For me male anatomy is still hard hahaha but honestly any full body pose is kinda difficult (especially the ones that come from underneath? Doing any sort of foreshortening work is just agh hard) I wanna be better at angles and full bodies and side angles too!! Rn I hide most of my inefficient anatomy through colouring hahahahah.

I kinda wanna try doing some comics in general cuz I think it would be fun! And I love cute art as well as elegant stuff so like idk will probs end up being a mash of so many things hahahaha
I always have a hard time from the waist down. I rarely draw full bodies as well. If I do I would use apps where I can pose 3d figures for reference cuz it's just that difficult for me :') I also have a difficult time drawing females :>
I want to get better with drawing more masculine bodies as im so used to drawing girls TT and I also want to get more comfortable with action poses ^^ there's an oc i have but never draw because I cant draw her fighting properly
