If a new platform for animators (and maybe other content creators) popped up, would you leave YouTube for the new platform the same way you left Instagram for Artfol?
I don't know about you but Artfol became my main account really quickly and I'm not sure Instagram is worth the added grief. Because unfortunately, if your content isn't marketable or popular, you basically can't make it on there. YouTube has similar problems, especially for animators. It used to be good for animators because YouTube USED to promote content based on percentage of video watched. (This had an effect on the content, such as having short bonus clips at the very end and other stuff like that!) But currently, YouTube has a system that uses some algorythm and total time of content watched. The immediate problem being that it takes a lone animator probably months to make a 3 minute video. So let's players and those who record their content and then edit it can produce more and longer videos and any animator can.
I just wish there was a popular option for animators... Well, if you know of one, please clue me in!!Jun 14, 2021

Personally for me, even if I did use the new platforms. I would still use the older platforms with the insane algorithm. There is always a small chance of making it and to grow. I would not want to remove the older platforms if I feel I am so close. ((Or could be how stubborn how I am after working on it for so long lol))
