The Colonel and the Double Agent who became Lovers
A quick warmup doodle, because going to the doctor and doing medical checkups is stressful.These two characters have been a beacon of hope for me through many years, and I missed drawing them.
Dolores (on the left) is regarded as one of the strongest and most loyal soldiers of her army: she's a skilled and agile fighter despite her disability -one of her legs got severely injured when she was younger and did not heal correctly, so she lives with chronic pain and impaired gait- and spends all her time training to improve her skill in battle. She can barely read and write, she is smart but ignorant, and the war is all she knows. Her fellow soldiers, all men, fear and respect her.
Gloria, on the other hand, was born and raised within the resistance, daughter and sister of two charismaric leaders. All she is lacking in strength, she compensates with brains and knowledge. She is sent in the belly of the beast to gather knowledge and destroy the enemy from the inside.
That's how the story begins, a story of sacrifices and offerings, choices and fate.
