Archive Mash, the wrathful shadow
Another lady from the same campaign I've grown to like. It's almost like there's some kind of trend there. Or maybe I just like shadows and big axes.Either way, this is Mash - the last favourite I picked up while making the 9 designs. I liked her from the moment I learned about her and frankly wished that if I didn't get to play Alkadri I would've been given her instead.
Her past is troubled and convoluted, so I won't dwell on it much, but I will focus on her "present" - Mash is a living shadow, ex-royal guard and a living ball of wrath. She isn't hateful or extremely vengeful mind you, she just has violent, aggressive outburts at sometimes even a slight inconvenience. Lots of them. And somehow, extreme violence keeps solving every problem she runs into, so why give it up?
Despite what she may seem like, she is neither stupid nor rude and simplistic - quite the opposite in fact. She is very practical and puts a great deal of attention to things being efficient, effective and though-out. From her outfit allowing easy movement, armored gauntlets and boots giving some good protection as a last resort and a special design for handaxes that would allow for quick access and an instant swing as you take them out (which in hindsight was a very bad and stupidly ineffective design from me), she makes it shown she isn't just brawns, but also brains.
Just like she seems to switch from being intelligent to giving in to mindkess destruction, she also isn't just a cloud of pure anger. When her mind isn't as troubled with all the issues around her, she's eager to show her great capacity for love and kindness. It can be best seen in regards to her "brother", who she is ready to sacrifice herself to protect. Though she has mostly given up on romantic love, after what happened to her in the past, she still shows a lot of love to her close friends and is much more approachable once you get to know her.
At the end of the day though, the Big Fucking Axe is not to be ignored. She will cut you in half if she sets her mind to it. And that isn't hard for her to do.Dec 4, 2023
