Huevember 30 | Magma Fire SalamanderI was debating between another lizard or a salmander for this piece, and then i did a tally and realized i only had ONE other amphibian and definitely had to have more!! Next time I do something similar to this year’s huevember, I definitely need to draw more of them :)
I really like drawing shiny, reflective surfaces. Typically in digital art, I tend to overwork/over blend areas, but for whatever reason, refelctive surfaces really help me break out of that funk. If you draw digitally, is this something you’ve noticed with your own work?
[ID: Digital illustration of a fire salamander floating on an orange rectangle on an off-white background. The salamander faces right, its head slightly turned toward the viewer. Its front right leg is raised, while its other leg stretches in front of it. Its back body twists to show both back legs, its tail curling back up above it. In the bottom right corner is a watermark reading: “LEAVES AND INKS” /end ID]Feb 4, 2026
