Huevember Bonus 2 | Cherry Giraffe WeevilIt’s got boots, it’s got a snoots… y’all know what time it is!!
When I was a kid (and still now at times) I had a HUGE phobia of bugs. I distinctly remember refusing, while sobbing, going down wooden porch stairs because I saw a daddy long legs on them.
A few years later, I remember reading a book about animals that featured one of these fellas, and it was the first time I looked at a bug and saw, “hey wait, that’s an animal”. I think it’s long neck and face not only reminded me of its namesake, but also of horses (peak horse girl moment) and that helped me reframe my thoughts on a lot of bugs.
At the end of the day, any bug, no matter how unsettling (looking at you centipedes) is another marvelous animal that lives alongside us that we should respect and appreciate, and for those reasons I think it’s the perfect sendoff for my very late Huevember series :)
I want to thank everyone so much for your love and support these past couple of months. There’s been so many new faces in the last week too, hello everyone!! I love creating art no matter my audience size or visibility, but it’s definitely very appreciated to get so many kind words and people enjoying my work!!
What’s up next? I’ve got a few dnd/bg3 centric things coming out, but I’ve got plans in March to hopefully work on a similar series to this one :) I’m happy to have y’all along for the ride!! :D
