Questions to Ask 2Here is part two to my previous post. In the first one, I thought I was going to outline them, so I wasn't very careful with my sketch. Then I just ended up going with the sketch. And I liked that. For this one, I knew what I was going to do, so I was much more careful accidentally. There's too much negative space on this one. Going forward I'll try to fix that.
Saying that, I do really like how I experimented with the speech bubbles to help convey emotion. I think I could definitely push it further. This was definitely a fun experiment and I'm really glad I did something out of my comfort zone. I needed this.
Q: DO YOU HAVE ANY TATTOOS, SCARS, OR PIERCINGS?
Ikelia - 'No.' (Criminals are marked with piercings in Gorgon society.)
Phomi - 'My ears are pierced. I wanted a tattoo, but my pain sensitivity is too high. Maybe when I'm older.' (She had them pierced when she was a baby.)
Yzadora - 'Lots of 'em, scars I mean. It's almost impossible not to. I'd be afraid if someone didn't have 'em... Oh! And my ears are pierced too.' (Not having scars either means you are so well protected you've never seen battle, or you are so mutated your scars have faded.)
Shion - 'I... Don't know...' (They don't know their own body, and it changes so much that they might never know completely.)
Q: ARE YOU LEFT OR RIGHT-HANDED?
Ikelia - 'Right-handed.' (Majority of gorgons are right-handed.)
Phomi - 'I'm left-handed.' (This also applies to her wings. She main uses her left wing.)
Yzadora - 'Both...?' (She doesn't really understand the question. She uses both for fighting, if that's what you are asking.)
Shion - 'I am ambidextrous of course! It is a mandatory skill for someone of my stature!' (Shion has precise control over all of their body in a way humans could not possibly achieve.)
Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FEATURE?
Ikelia - 'My hair.' (Althought her hair is not sentient, she finds companion ship in their company. She expresses herself as much as she can through her hair.)
Phomi - 'My wings and my hair.' (Most Orc-ish Avians have short hair out of convience. Her hair is special and what makes her unique.)
Yzadora - 'I've been told my eyes are unique.' (Dora doesn't put much weight into her appearance, however she has been told on occasion that her eyes are her most striking feature.)
Shion - 'None. Nothing about me is remarkable.' (Nothing is theirs.)May 22, 2024
