Cybernight DreamI've been really sick these past two days. I basically slept all day because it was either that or a headache so bad it felt like my eyes were coming out of head. It was not fun. So, this drawing isn't as detailed as I would have liked to. Still, It came out pretty cool.
I'm not good with reflections. Or glass. Or visual depth. BUTTTT, that's okay because this turned out pretty good for a first try. I did technically use only the ibis paint colors, but I tweaked opacities and layered them over top of each other, so it's not one hundred percent use the colors listed.
In truth, blue is my least favorite color. It's everywhere, in everything, and we perceive so much of it that it ends up being annoying when I've forced to use it. I mean, there are so many more colors out there, why we gotta use blue. But blue has its purpose and in the language of color, it has a diverse set of uses, so I have to cave sometimes.
This piece was inspired by techwear and cyberpunk fashion. I like both of them, but I don't think they are what I would want to personally wear. I don't like nylon-y fabrics or fabrics that make noises when they rub together. It's not a bad thing, just not favorable to my ears. So I prefer to draw it mostly.
I haven't been in a kawaii fashion drawing mood lately, so brief stints drawing these sorts of moodier, dark pieces, are a great way to give myself some rest. Would you like to see more pieces like this? Also, would anyone be open to an art trade? I don't have much inspiration right now and I would like to continue exercising my art muscles even through that.May 28, 2024
