OC evolution #2

I hope you don't mind me posting multiple versions of this challenge, I just think it's a fun way to introduce this characters–


Anyways!! This time it's Silvia's turn, she's the other MC :D the narrator mainly follows Noemi, but yeah, I consider them both the main characters. And to explain Silvia's evolution I have to actually explain the plot, which is one of the few things that have barely changed lol

So!! This story follows Silvia and Noemi, two girls from our world that get misdiagnosed with schizophrenia and turns out they actually just have the ability to see magic. Because of this ability they're being targeted by an evil wizard from another world, and they end up being protected by another wizard who is also the principle of a magic school so now they're staying there until everything gets fixed. Tbh the original story wasn't trying too hard to fix the situation and never really explained WHY the villain was interested in them, but I think I have fixed that on the new version. The story is actually divided in two parts, the first one is a bit more mistery focused and the second one feels more like a clasic epic fantasy.

I must say that I wrote the original version when I was 13, and around that time I watched a TERRIBLE spanish movie (a book adaptation) that had a horrible depiction of schizophrenia and that was my first contact with that illness so. I ended up romanticising it a lot and most of my stories of that time include it at some point I'm taking it out of most of them because wtf 13 yo me, but it was such a vital part of this story that I couldn't just get rid of it so. I'm just trying to do my research and write everything correctly this time :')

And the caption is already super long and has nothing about Silvia herself so!!! Silvia was always the extrovert of the two MCs. OG Silvia was just kinda there following Noemi around? But she also had her good MC moments. She was very friendly and had no problem speaking with people. And she was also an art kid!! She was always drawing and knew her art history, which was a pretty nice detail imo.

The new Silvia keeps this traits, but with a bit more of personality lol. In our world she's a scene kid and she wants to study art!! Now she's also a year older than Noemi, and one of the tallest people of the story. She's 1,80m/5.9', because all of my MC's are short in my head and I wanted to add some variety alfhgllg and that way I can have some contrast between her and Noemi!! (They're 1,5m/4.9') She's still the extroverted one, but I think she's a little more chill now. She has "been there, done that" vibes in general lol. Also! In the OG version there was a plot twist on the second half of the story where it turned out Silvia ACTUALLY had schizophrenia. In this version I decided that she knows she has it from the very beggining lol. Like– coming from someone who has mental illness, sometimes you just can tell. And she knows sometimes her head messes with her. I've also changed her dynamic with a guy that only appeared in two chapters but is probably the worst character I've ever written (I'll just say he had DID and was based on a vocaloid song. Imagine the rest); she used to find him terribly annoying, now they're besties

Oh and she was always meant to have curly hair, I just didn't know how to draw it :') and I gave her glasses because I don't have enough characters with glasses, no other reason xd
