ASAW #6 (and final)

Last day of ASAW!! I hope you liked this drawings bc I really enjoyed drawing them and talking about the aro comunity :3

And I actually have two versions of this one, but alas, I can only post one here so I posted this one bc I was told this is the most commonly known loveless aro flag (but I like the other one more bc it looks like a pirate flag–)

So, loveless aros!! After being constantly told that "love is what makes us human" and getting told that "love isn't always romantic!!!" everytime we complain (like we don't know that, we're aro!! If someone knows that, it's us!!), some aros just. Get disconnected from love, feel no love at all or decide to reject it just to say "fuck you" to people trying to force love to us. And honestly?? That's totally valid go off queen/king/monarch

Loveless aros aren't mentally ill (maybe they are, but not bc of being loveless), evil, manipulative, sad or any other negative thing that may cross your mind. I know a few of them and they're actually really nice!! And each of them identifies as loveless for a different reason. Just let loveless people be, please

And I would love (no pun intended) to talk about Leyla, the girl I drew here, but I wanted to talk about something else and this will be way too long if I do both lmao. For my last post I actually wanted to draw someone else, but I realised that then I would have only drawn one woman in the whole week (it's pretty balanced now lmao, there's two women, men and non binary people). And bc of this thingy called intersectionality, gender roles are really important when talking about aspec identities.

Women are expected to be very romantic and pure beings of light who know nothing about sex, so the ace stereotype is a white teenage girl who spends too much time on the internet. Meanwhile, men are expected to hate marriage and only think about sex (I'm still wondering why all those old men got married if they hate their wives), so the aro stereotype is a straight man who wants to abuse women. Fucking disgusting, if you ask me but that's why we need to include women when talking about the aro comunity and issues, and include men when talking about the ace comunity and issues!!
