Screw popular media!!! Screw high fantasy tropes based on either Tolkien or people copying him!!! I want your traditional foods!!! I want your legends and magical creatures!!! I want those things that are a trope on your country but not in mine!!! I want more character designs based on traditional clothing!!! I want folkloric dances!!! I want paganism!!! Traditional hairstyles!!! Symbols!!! Jewlery!!! I want those festivities that are never talked about!!! I want to read and watch stuff based on cultures all around the globe!!! I want authors to take their culture and throw it in my face!!! It's beautiful!!! It's nostalgic!!! It's amazing!!!!
Saw two different artists today sharing characters based on their own countries and I !!!!!! One of them is ukranian and the other south italian and it was so cool!!! And I'm working on a story where all the world building is based on different areas and timeperiods of Spain and it's!!!! Bringing me so much joy!!!! Culture is beautiful!!! Get inspired by it!!!!
